Jamming issues with Hatsan Blitz

Jams with this rifle typically occur when you fire several quick bursts in full-auto mode. This happens because the magazine doesn't have enough time to fully cycle between shots. In full-auto, the rifle fires rapidly, and the magazine isn’t able to reload and position the next pellet before the next shot is fired. As a result, the pellet probe, which is responsible for pushing the pellet into the breech, doesn't align properly with the next round. This mismatch can cause feeding issues like a misfeed, or in some cases, a double-feed, where the magazine attempts to load two pellets at once, leading to a jam.

To prevent jams like this, it's best to avoid firing multiple quick bursts in full-auto mode. Give the rifle a moment between shots to let the magazine cycle properly and feed each pellet into the breech without issue. If you do experience a jam, follow the steps below to clear it and get back to shooting.

Steps to Clear a Jam:

1. Point the Rifle in a Safe Direction:
   Always ensure the rifle is pointed in a safe, clear direction before performing any maintenance. This is important for your safety and the safety of those around you.

2. Degas the Rifle:
   Release any remaining air or gas from the rifle to ensure it is safe to handle. This is a crucial step to prevent accidental firing while clearing the jam.

3. Lock the Bolt:
   Pull the cocking lever all the way back and up to lock the bolt in place. This ensures that no further pellets can enter the breech while you’re clearing the jam.

4. Clear the Jam:
   Take the cleaning rod and slide it down the barrel to where the jam has occurred. Gently push the rod forward until all the pellets are cleared from the breech. Make sure you don’t force the rod, as it may damage the barrel or feeding mechanism.

5. Check the Barrel:
   Stop once you’re sure that all pellets have been cleared from the barrel. Double-check that the breech and the barrel are free of any blockages that might prevent proper cycling of the next pellet.

6. Close the Bleeder Screw:
   Once the barrel is clear, ensure the bleeder screw is securely closed. This step helps to maintain the correct air or gas pressure in the rifle.

7. Refill and Continue Shooting:
   Refill the rifle with pellets or gas if needed, and you’re ready to resume shooting.
